The Mighty Mekong - A Voyage of Discovery of UNESCO's Mekong World Heritage Sites

The Mekong World Heritage is the ambitious project to promote sustainable tourism and awareness of World Heritage sites and communities around the Mekong and the world. The project team believes conscientious efforts by the travel industry and its customers can contribute directly to nature conservation, historic preservation, and poverty reduction through responsible tourism.

Our goal is to engage new partners, especially in the travel industry, to join our initiative as a part of the Mekong World Heritage Project and catalyze a collective commitment to supporting World Heritage conservation, sustainable tourism, and local economic development for communities in and around World Heritage sites. The initiative:

• Inspires Travelers to Explore World Heritage Sites around Mekong Region & the Globe.

• Promotes Economic Development in the GMS.

• Encourages Public Awareness and Involvement.

• Engages the Travel Industry to promote World Heritage sites and communities.
